Rett Syndrome, Autism and ADHD are distinct disorders yet they are sharing common pathways. Mecp2 gene errors have a number of causes. Autism and ADD, ADHD are in many cases genetic. A subgroup of folk with Rett Syndrome have their mecp2 error for the same reason that I do. Autism, ADD, ADHD and some others, do not have any relationship to mecp2 errors but they do have a relationship to the genetic components and pathways involved. This essay explains some of my work in this field.
