Psychopathy and Evolution? Friday 6th May 2022
In my view, Psychopathy isn’t an evolutionary adaptation, it’s a genetics based disability that results in the loss of the ability to feel among other issues. As with all disabilities, severity varies and so we see different severities in psychopathy and due to its unusual-ness, it effects society in a very negative way in the broad sense, as well as relatives and those persons this population come in contact with.
Continued Sunday 8th May 2022:
Society tends not to discuss this issue very much and I suspect that this group is in the ‘hard to know what to do about’ basket.
We tend to think of the individuals who become the frightening killers but the majority of this population do not become like this. Nevertheless, you cannot trust such people, nor can they help how they are and we have allowed them to permeate society so we must educate and protect ourselves and family if we are to live with them.
Those intelligent educated psychopaths who are often very engaging, likely think they are superior and that someone like me crying over a deceased pet is quite absurd.
What I would tell this group is that were society to collect a large group with the psycopath disability and place you on an island where you could not prey on the non-disabled, you would kill each other, you would form subgroups until there was a single man remaining. He would be the most ruthless and deadly among the group. So the survival of the psycopath is dependent on a healthy society. And a group of people from the healthy society would survive just fine on an island, because a healthy group knows how to get along and care for one another .
So, the psycopath configuration isn’t superior, and are they helpful in war, perhaps, but we have to monitor because the temptation of self gratification would be ever present and no civilians would be safe with such persons in their midst. And as well, there would be risk to fellow soldiers.
Youngsters with Psychopathy present with issues that shouldn’t be ignored.
The inability to feel can be a very dangerous thing. These people are in all sectors of society, some know they have this and some likely aren’t aware.
They don’t like to take orders, preferring to give them and though they are the last people you would want in authority, this type of position is where they prefer to be.
The wealthy have to be especially cautious because they have what this group wants.
A corporate psycopath is a nasty entity and doesn’t hide him or herself as much as others do.
An example, perhaps you have a beautiful home, your grandparents built it. You have no wish to move, but someone wants to purchase it. You tell them that you want to keep your home. The person with psychopathic traits won’t accept that and you will start to experience all manner of problems. All designed to get you out of that home. And you won’t necessarily know that’s the cause of it but there will be no relent and members of your family will be at risk and the home itself may start to have significant problems. Your business will start to fall off, your phone’s malfunction, on and on until your life is a shambles and there they will be ready to buy your home at far less of a value than when they first approached you. And they won’t have the slightest remorse, just delight at the pain you are in because their inability to feel prevents them from having the slightest care.
Being cruel seems to be something that they *can* feel and so they are drawn to be so, and often their cruelty has to grow in size and severity for the enjoyment experience. Much like an addiction.
They come in all shapes and sizes, male and female, introvert, extrovert and they learn to act. You may think you’ve met the person you had always hoped to meet and end up feeling like you’ve been hit by a bus. My advice to people or parents, it’s likely a good idea to quietly get a background check, if you have any concerns.
